THIS WEEK’S USER SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON ANDREA JAMES MURPHY!

THIS WEEK’S USER SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON MERV & SARAH FROM IRELAND!
We think all of our users are pretty cool… but Merv and Sarah really stand out. They’re on a multi-year expedition in their overland truck, and they love to use Connectify in every country they visit.
These digital nomads connect to the Internet through a USB-stick, or SIM card for their laptop. With Connectify PRO running, all of their other devices are able to pick up that connection, too. This comes in handy, especially while traveling in foreign lands!
“We run Connectify PRO on our iPad for navigation, e-mail, and Irish radio station access,” they told us. They are also able to check their personal e-mails on their iPhones without roaming charges, only accessible with the power of Connectify PRO.

THIS WEEK’S USER SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON AVI FROM DELHI, INDIA!
When Avi wrote to Connectify, he told us his Internet runs on wireless data from a 3g provider in India.
Like many of us, he has 2 laptops and a Samsung Galaxy phone. He works as a doctor, so his devices are always data hungry.
He knew that Wi-Fi capable laptops could be turned into hotspots, but didn’t have luck while trying to configure it himself… or even with his engineer friend Surya.
Cue: Connectify! After Googling “turn computer into a wi fi hotspot,” he found Connectify at the top of the results. He said “the name seemed good to me,” (thanks, Avi!), “and installation was a small file.”
After taking the risk to download Connectify, Avi couldn’t be happier. “What wonders this could do,” he said. “Very easy to configure. I never change sim now to connect my phone or check mail and chat. Connectify is ultimate.”

THIS WEEK’S USER SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON MATT FROM TOKYO, JAPAN!
Matt told us he was living in military barracks at the time in an “undisclosed Southwest Asia location,” with pretty decent wireless access but only in his room and WITH the help of a 1 watt Wi-Fi adapter and a pesky antenna.He explained he was unable to connect smaller devices like his iPod Touch to the network because of low signal strength. “With Connectify,” Matt said, “I was able to take the wireless signal from my desktop/large antenna and basically make a repeater station in my room. This allowed me to use my iPod touch to text/call home. When you’re deployed, keeping in touch with your family is the MOST important thing.”
Recently, Matt used Connectify in a military exercise with very limited Internet capabilities. With only one small router and about 10 computers, Matt used his computer equipped with Connectify to share his Wi-Fi to the others in his group within minutes. “It’s a lifesaver, man,” his teammates told him. “Thanks so much for hooking that up!”

We love users like Jhen! She didn’t hear about Connectify from a friend, or perform a web search about how to turn her laptop into a Wi-Fi hotspot. In fact, she didn’t even know it was possible.
“I happened to open a blog that caught my attention,” she told us. “I wondered whether it was true that it could actually turn my laptop or net-book into a WiFi router.”
Jhen downloaded Connectify and instantly loved it. Before, her entire family was running on separate broadband connections, costing them lots of money. But now? That’s all changed.

THIS WEEK’S USER SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON AJMAL FROM INDIA!
Ajmal M. is a medical student originally from India, but studying in Ukraine. He lives in a hostel, where Wi-Fi connections are available on laptops, but with a hefty fee, and get this — no other devices are permitted to connect to the network!
In his free time, he loves his to chat on his Samsung Galaxy Fit. Problem is, since no other devices are permitted to connect to the network, he has to use 3G or pay extra to get a Wi-Fi connection on his phone. Sounds expensive!
He thought to himself, “I know smart phones can turn into Hotspots … so why can’t laptops?” Ajmal searched all over the Internet, tried many applications that didn’t work, and then discovered Connectify.
“Thank GOD, at last, I found Connectify,” he explained. “I tried it … it just amazed me. I don’t need to change my Wi-Fi settings and it works very smoothly. Now, I can use Internet on my smartphone and share my Internet with friends because anything and everything connects to it.”

THIS WEEK’S USER SPOTLIGHT SHINES ON PRATYUSH FROM MUMBAI, INDIA!
Pratyush says he first heard about Connectify after he Googled “how to make my laptop into a hotspot.” Luckily for us, the first result that appeard was Connectify. Bingo!
He thinks Connectify is “such an awesome software” because “anything and everything connects to it. It even works on a proxy!”
Pratyush uses Connectify at his house and college to connect his iPod touch to the internet since there are no wireless hotspots. He adds “since connecting to Wi-Fi is not possible for everyone in our lab because of complicated settings, I connect to the network and use Connectify for others to use the net too!”
His favorite part about Connectify is that “up to 11 people have used my hotspot at one time!”

Ben is a government contractor currently working in Afghanistan. He says, “Connectify helps my department by making it easy to stay in contact with our loved ones.”
Since Ben is stationed so far away from home, he likes Connectify because it’s hard to use phones and they can be very expensive. He says, “with Connectify we can use our apps on our smart phones and use programs like Skype and Facebook to contact our loved ones in the States.”

Like many of you, Matt first heard about Connectify after searching for “make a wireless hotspot” on Google. He discovered a
